The Capital Play video was primarily produced to be shown at the New York State Senate hearings to determine who would be awarded the New York racing franchise. The Capital Play bid was based on replicating the successful Australian horse racing model in New York. Control over Belmont, Aqueduct and Saratoga race tracks were up for bid. The video was hosted on their web site and also shown at numerous large and small town meetings. Capital Play offered to combine the rich history of New York thoroughbred racing with a proven Australian business model to revive this sport of kings in the Empire State. Capital Play will restructure thoroughbred racing by transforming the sport into a must-see social event mirroring their Australian model. It is also a plan to reinstate the rich heritage of New York racing, where elegance and excitement once marked its highly anticipated events. It’s a vision that the Capital Play team brought to life before in Australia, and a dream for New York that we’ll make real again.
